iMAX THEATERS....


iMAX THEATERS ARE THE NEW THiNG T0 WATCH M0ViES...
IMAX (short for Image MAXimum)
iT iS A SCREEN THAT G0ES 180 DEGREES AR0UND.
As of March 2007, there were 280 IMAX theatres in 38 countries (60% of them are located in the US and Canada)
The largest rectangular IMAX screen in the world is located at IMAX Theatre Sydney

    I loveee watching IMAX movies. I saw spiderman in IMAX, and it was SOOO much better than just watching it on a little T.V. I always loved going to the franklin institute when I was a kid because i wanted to go see an IMAX movie.

    IMAX movies are unreal. I was out in Pittsburgh last summer visiting my sister and she took me to see a movie at an IMAX theater and it was amazing. I cant remember the movie but it had something to do with the ocean and i felt like i was in there with the fish.

    I never saw an imax movie. but from the comments i'm really excited to see one! I can't believe how much technology is advancing with these cool things.

    imax is really cool. Watching a movie in imax is so much different than watching one not in imax.

    I still have not been to an IMAX movie, but I would definitely like to in the near future. It looks unreal with how the theater is set up!

    I've been to the IMAX at the franklin institue and I was not a fan. My neck cramped from trying to see everything and i had a head ache from constantly moving my head. I've never seen an IMAX movie yet so maybe I will have to try it out again.

    SO there are 168 IMax Theaters in the United States. Well based on this figure, i would say that it may eaqual about 1% of the amount of theaters located in the UNited States ebcause i used to work for AMC. Im not sure if it is the new thing but it is definitely a popular attraction for movies that are IMax quality. Usually cartoons take the stage of an IMax theater but i recall seeing Eagle Eye and i could not make out a large difference but the extra volume on the sub woofers to shake our seats during a loud action scene.
