You love baseball !! haha. You have to rent that movie.
ReplyDeleteThe makers of that first ballgame movie probably didn't realize just how big and how important to the coaching staff filming is today. They were in it for the fun and a little notoriety.
ReplyDeleteThe good old American game, Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd, but me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don't care If I ever come back..., who doesn't love a baseball movie.
ReplyDeleteI'm a true fan of the game, and still play the game up to this day. I never knew that this was the first baseball movie ever and now you have influenced me to go out and rent it sometime.
ReplyDeleteThink of the cultural impact baseball has had on this country. Any medium - movies, the radio, paintings etc that could proliferate it wa bound to magnify it's impact to American culture. Baseball you could argue, is almost an art form.
ReplyDeleteBaseball movies are usually good fun. I remember watching the Sandlot on constant repeat as a kid. "You're killin me, Smalls!"
ReplyDelete1898...Did they even have baseball then? Just kidding but how did they film a movie then? Anyway its amazing what they do with movies now. If you don't have a bluray player your missing out!!
ReplyDeleteBaseball is so great. I grew up on baseball, and had my greatest baseball experiences at age 8 and age 23; phillies goes to the world series in 93, and winning in 2008! Seeing baseball movies now makes me think back to that cold october night when we won and the joy it brought me. I get chills down my spine!
ReplyDeleteI love baseball, and always have. To know that this was the first baseball movie intrigued me. I enjoy the movie Major league and Major league two. I would like to see this movie sometime to compare and contrast.
